Usually red eyes are a bad thing, but in the following case you'll have to think out of the box. Just a few minutes ago a new product was launched that may make controlling your home media devices much easier. Introducing the RedEye. The website description says it best:

Well, after a couple of weeks using Drupal, I'm pretty impressed. The install was easy and the codebase is small. It has some really nice default themes that are extremely customizable. And, when I wanted to do something like show the most recent entries from external blogs and other websites or setup a simple photo gallery I've been able to find community modules that just plug right into Drupal and work like a charm.

As far as I can tell, Drupal offers everything I need for a simple website for my extended family to use. Now, if I could just get them to use it ;)
